As a temporary street circuit, the Albert Park circuit at which the paddock will congregate over the next week usually produces topsy turvy races due to its low grip surface and propensity to produce safety cars, with walls perilously close to the racing surface.
Nothing changes it seems – a brief glance at several reliable weather services tell us that we’re in for changeable conditions all weekend. There’s a high chance of a wet Friday, spilling over into Saturday. Sunday looks to be clearing up with less chance of a rain interrupted race.
With new parts needing to be tested and no clear pecking order established, inclement weather will add even more unpredictability into the mix. What price a very, very mixed up grid?
